To get started, choose your goal. It can be, among others, to get your website to have more visits or to increase calls to your company.
Next, choose the geographical area in which the ads should be shown. It can be a small radius around your company or a larger area, such as a city, a province or a country.
Finally, you will have to create the ads and define the monthly budget limit.
Once approved, the ads can be shown when a user in your target area searches for a product or service like the one you offer. You will only have to pay when users interact with the ads, for example, when they click on them or call your company.
What are the different types of Google Ads ads?
There are three basic types of ads (or campaigns) in Google Ads:
Search campaigns: usually appear in text format and are displayed on Google search results pages when users search for a product or service similar to the one you offer
Campaigns on the Display Network: usually have an image format and are shown on websites or applications that your users visit
Video campaigns: these are usually 6 or 15 second videos that are shown just before or during the content offered by YouTube
What is CPC (cost per click) or PPC (pay per click) advertising?
CPC (cost per click) and PPC (pay per click) allow you to pay for an ad only if the user clicks on it.
There are other payment models for advertising, such as:
Cost per impression: with this model you pay based on the number of times the ads are shown without users clicking on them
Expansion cost: in this case, you pay only when the user ends an interaction that has been previously defined, such as watching a video ad
How much does Google Ads cost?
The cost of Google Ads is established based on the budget you have defined. Google Ads works with almost all budgets. You only have to pay when users interact with the ads, for example if they click on them to go to your website or to call your business. With Google Ads, it is not mandatory to invest a minimum amount nor to fulfill a commitment of permanence; you can stop posting ads anytime. The cost of clicks or calls can vary based on several factors.
